People consult with therapists to solve many different types of problems. Ms. Turner-Clark likes to set goals and objectives regarding what each client wishes to accomplish. Periodically, she feels it is important to return to those goals to discern whether progress is being made regarding a client's initial concerns. Many individuals are looking for effective coping skills and an understanding of the feelings associated with specific life changes. Upon an initial visit with her, Ms. Turner-Clark conducts a clear, structured interview to collect life history and information upon which to base the treatment planning to best serve her clients' needs. She makes herself available several days a week accommodating clients with mid-morning and afternoon appointments.

Together, she and her clients will decide what they wish to accomplish in their lives, develop a plan and follow it until problems can be resolved to the client’s satisfaction. She employs an integrated approach of theories and techniques to match treatment with the presenting problem. Treatment approaches may involve Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT,) Marital and Family Therapy, Humanistic approach, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT,) Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Each treatment plan is specially geared to individual clients. Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) are supported to help employees work on short-term goals with Solution Focused Brief Therapy. Ms. Turner-Clark also offers Expressive Therapy services to work with a wide range of counseling issues. Trauma-Focused Expressive Therapy, Expressive Therapy, Play Therapy (a blending of directive and non-directive techniques) offer an alternative mode for safe articultion conducted in your own familiar environment.
